Oh fucking great. I knew it would come to this. The Haji's have detonated several home made clorine bombs in Baghdad over the past several weeks, and now it's been reported that a large amount of the stuff has been stolen from a local water treatment plant.
The Army's reaction? "Your NBC mask will not filter this type of gas. Do not run into a cloud of clorine except to save someone's life."
On another subject, I need to take a little trip to visit the Cavalry up at Taji, so I won't be in contact for a couple of days. Take care.

Funny how we have not heard a thing about the chlorine gas bombs. I am sure we wouldn't want the (American) people to know exactly the type of danger in which we are placing our soldiers. Wait a minute - aren't those WMDs? They had them all along! I knew it.
OPSEC Note: I did make sure they had been mentioned in the Stars and Stripes before I said anything...
Maybe it depends on the news source - but we heard about two chlorine gas attacks here in Illinois about 10 days ago or so.
No wonder the kids are having a harder time now since Dad returned to Iraq - the news just keeps getting shittier!
